This place is so sweet.

Kalymnos!

This is the island of Telendos, which is right off the shore of Kalymnos. It is great to finally make it to Kalymnos, I have been wanting to come for some time now.

The Grande Grotta

The Grande Grotta, a sweet cave full of great features. If you click on the picture and look close you can see someone climbing on the left.

Sicati Cave with beach

This is me on the trail to the Sicati cave. This is one of the most unique crags that I have ever seen. It looks as if a meteor hit the island leaving a huge hole. This cave is full of sweet looking rock and has some crazy hard man climbs in it. To check out a cool web vid. from Petzl on this cave - click the link below and then click on rock climbing, option. This is the little town of Masouri on the island of Kalymnos.

A great little mantel

This is me working out a sweet little mantel problem. You have to love the sandy landings at the "blue".

(Yosemite, CA.) Your mission, if your willing to accept it.....Half Dome, in one day!

This is Half Dome, as seen from the slabs approach. Galo and I started the approach at 9am on Saturday and reached the main wall at 12pm. We were happy that we had made it up the death slabs with no rock fall! We then climbed the first three pitches to fix the ropes to give us a head start the next day. Twenty three pitches, over 2000 ft., on beautiful rock!

Yes, supermodels do climb!

This is Galo and I in front of the "Regular North West Face," our vertical mission. We were extremely happy to find that the spring at the base of the wall was still running.

I'm in the dark here!

This is Galo aiding the 5.11 section on the fourth pitch. We woke up at 3:20am so that we could get on the wall at 4am. With only four hours of sleep there is nothing like three pitches of jumarring to wake you up.

Life is good

We are climbing in paradise, how can you not smile?

This is looking back onto the valley, and El Capitan. Unfortunately we could not just sit and soak in this great view all day, we gots to get our climb on.

Chim Chim Charoo

This is me getting started into three pitches of chimney, pitches 12,13,and 14. Pitch 13 got my attention due to the fact it was a little run out, flaring, and a little over hung. Once I got into it, it really was not as bad as it looked.

This is the double hand crack on pitch 17, I had a huge smile on my face after finishing this bad boy!

The "Thank God Ledge"

This ledge is about a foot wide and fifty long. You have to traverse this ledge and at one point it gets really thin and you have to be super slow and delicate. During the thin part, If a fly were to land on your head you would take a whipper. This got the old ticker going, talk about exposure!

One long day!

The sun had beat us, and we had to do the last pitch with our head lamps. Having been on the wall for fifteen hours, this had truly been one long day.

Sweet Victory!

It feels good to be out of my climbing shoes, and even better to be at the top!

It's not over

The next day we walked down from Half Dome, and were ready for some good eats and a nice little swim in the Merced.

Half Dome

I have been wanting to do this route for over a year and it feels great to finally tick it! Oh, happy day!

A new hobby

This is a photo of me, at my new hobby of bee keeping! It took me a few times to get comfortable with handling these bad boys. The second time down to my five hives I got swarmed, by one of the not so friendly hives. The bees can sense fear and will come after you, that and they did not like my Old Spice! Oh, and in case your wondering, I do go out dancing in this suit.

A long time project final ticked, at Mt. Woodson! All you need for this gnarly Off-width is some large gear and a prayer that you don't peal from the top!

NEVIS

This is a photo of me on the Nevis, my second out of three jumps....called the "Thrillogy". My first jump was quite a wake up call in the morning, because I was dunked into the icy cold river. But the Nevis was the one that took the cake, being 440ft.... a nice 8.5 seconds of free falling! What a RUSH!

THE ICE IS NICE

This is a photo of me ice climbing on Franz Josef Glacier on the west coast of NZ! The climbing was sweet, and I really would like to do it again.

Project

This is me getting started for the sixth and final time on my project "Responsible Lunges" aussie grade 25! I was stoked to finally get this bad boy, after working out all the crux moves.

Paynes Ford

This is a shot of me on a climb called 10-80! I know, I know..I am a show off but how often do you get to pull a no-hands rest on a roof. What a great climb with an amazing view of the country side. I was in Paynes for about a week, which is at the northern most point of the south island. I stayed at the Hang Dog campground where I met some really cool people to climb with!

A little deep water soloing! We found this great roof on the river to do a little soloing after climbing. What a refreshing way to end the day.

This is a photo of the "Gallery" in the Southern Grampians. A solid piece of rock that has a mean overhang to it. It was raining all day and we only got wet on the approach and decent to the crag. A great option for those rainy days.

My only shower in five days!

This is a photo of me rappelling off a waterfall in the Blue Mountains. Doing a little canyoning in the Blues was a great way to spend a rest day, and was very refreshing!

Nowra

And yet another great climbing spot outside of Sydney! This is me climbing at Nowra and I'm totally enjoying myself! I am on a climb called sandy beach (aussie grade 21) .....just another day at the office.

Funnel-web

This is a photo of a Funnel-web spider! My buddy Shaun found it crawling up his arm in the middle of the night. Shaun thought that he had been bitten, and could not go back to sleep for awhile. I however did go back to sleep....after checking my tent. And when I awoke I was glad to see Shaun still alive!

Blue Mts. "Dog Face"

This is a photo of me in front of "Dog Face" at the Blue Mountains. This is just one of many endless crags in the the Blues, truly more then a lifetimes worth of climbing here. Only two hours outside of Sydney, this place has some great climbing!

Farewell Thailand

Thailand.....what a great adventure! Today is my last day in Thailand and it has been a truly unique experience. I have extremely enjoyed the culture, people, food, weather, rock, and smiling faces. I leave tomorrow for Sydney for two weeks and then Melbourne for another two! I am really itching to get back on the rock and am very excited! I will keep you all updated on my trip as I go, and I hope all is well.

EYE OF THE TIGER

This is one of the many great tigers that I was able to be with and pet! At the tiger sanctuary outside of Bangkok they take in many small cubs that might have otherwise died in the wild and care for them. They now have eighteen big tigers and a couple cubs witch I also got to play with. This was a huge highlight for me and these animals are truly amazing! The cats get fed in the morning and like all cats lay around and sleep most of the day, so for the most part are docile. I did have one try to get to me though, but the monks know what they are doing. I also got to walk a tiger on a leash which was great! I will have to show you guys more pics when I get back...I have tons.
